Pace

In many of my talks I share about pace. I ask are you a marathoner or sprinter,

maybe you really do not like to run at all. The meaning of Pace is “If you do

something at your own pace, you do it a speed that is comfortable for you.” The

next question I would like to ask you is your pace in cruise control, are you going

about your day or week feeling like the world is passing you by or you are passing

the world by.

Living Your Life at your own Pace describes pace as the follow:

“What does live your life at your own pace mean? It means living on your terms.

It’s a life that will make sense only to you because you are doing life in your way.

When you find joy in all the things you do, you have a joyous and fulfilled life.

Sometimes, it is not easy to achieve it.”

I am a true believer in flexibility. On the farm the day can jump from one activity

to another, so our pace may be a sprint from 8 am – 10 am and then it is more of

a marathon. When you allow yourself to be flexible your pace feels comfortable,

when the hill becomes steep you let yourself have a break. When your pace is

comfortable you see all the greatness around you, sunsets are clearer, sunrises

sparkle and grandchildren’s laughter is contagious. As we head into another busy

season on the farm find your pace with flexibility, heads up and looking around

rather than heads down watching our feet. Happy spring Everyone!!
